{"id":6914,"date":"2020-05-19T22:36:46","date_gmt":"2020-05-19T19:36:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mobsad.com\/?p=6914"},"modified":"2020-05-19T22:36:50","modified_gmt":"2020-05-19T19:36:50","slug":"turkish-furniture-sector-gears-up-for-post-pandemic-period","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mobsad.com\/en\/turkish-furniture-sector-gears-up-for-post-pandemic-period\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkish furniture sector gears up for post-pandemic period"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Furniture sector expects to reach $2-2.5B export figure this year<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exports to rise in June<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuri Gurcan, the head of the Furniture Industry Businessmen&#8217;s Association, said Turkey can raise its share in markets where China&#8217;s activity has decreased during this period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He recalled the $100 billion bilateral trade target between Turkey and the US, and said Turkey can take a share from the US market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gurcan asserted: &#8220;Italy is the only competitor of Turkey in the furniture sector globally but we can produce well-designed furniture products faster and cheaper than Italy.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also said the sector expects an increase in exports as of June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our industry grows 10-15% every year.
